We did two nights at Burton Constable — another haunted house! Each time we go, they take the audience round the house, telling stories of all the strange and inexplicable goings on. In the past, we have found the acoustic a little echo-y, but we took a stage with us this time and it greatly improved things. The second night, especially, went well despite me having a nightmare with the sound. I thought I hadn’t triggered a cue and ended up pressing the wrong button several times which triggered every sound cue to play simultaneously! By great good fortune, it somehow fitted with a moment in the play, but I then had about 20 seconds to work out how to pull the sound and reset it for the final cue! Sweaty!
